Great makeup work enhances performance, adds depth to character and supports the visual storytelling without ever calling attention to itself. On set, the make-up artist helps translate creative vision into look and presence, shaping the way a character or scene feels through thoughtful, intentional application.
This work is collaborative and highly attuned to both people and production needs. It suits someone who sees beauty in detail, cares about continuity, and understands how subtle changes can influence mood, tone, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Apply and maintain makeup looks that align with creative direction
- Support continuity throughout shooting days
- Collaborate with directors, actors, and the production team
- Adjust styles, touch-ups, or changes quickly and confidently on set
- Maintain hygiene, organization, and careful attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong desire to create thoughtful, high-quality make-up and grow within the craft
- Experience in film, commercial, theater, or editorial makeup (not a must)
- Sense of character, tone and visual cohesion
- Professional tools and hygiene awareness
- Comfort working within dynamic production environments
- A collaborative, supportive approach on set
